A European and international symposium on completed research and of research still in progress concerning the subject in question. On the initiative of the French Ministry of Culture and Communications, and the French Ministry of National Education, Higher Education and Research.
Through its evaluation of the impact of arts education, the symposium will try to highlight the relationship between particular implementation of arts and cultural education and results obtained. The participants will attempt to estimate in particular the added value of the various schemes offering cultural activities. This assessment will also focus on training programmes for teachers, artists and other professionals working in the field of cultural education.
Furthermore, the symposium will present the research conducted over wide areas (national or regional), in order to measure the global impact of educational art policies (e.g. in terms of pupil success, or the development of new cultural practices).
