The objective of the conference is to offer culture professionals the opportunity to reflect on the expanding role of culture in the social and political life of the 21st century and to provide firsthand information on projects, networks and current debates.
Debates at the conference will include the following topics:
the institutionalisation of culture and its increasing role in social and political life,
cultural policies in the 20th and the 21st century,
the profession of cultural manager,
the dialectic between the process of cultural homogenisation and that of the protection and promotion of cultural diversity,
international panorama regarding research into culture management and cultural
