Imagine Festival, 1 – 10 August 2008, Liverpool

Imagine Festival is a series of events for children and teenagers, colourful and amazing entertainment available for free in the capital of culture 2008. The festival starts on August 1 with a monumental theatrical performance 'The Emperor and the Tiger'.
The following attractions on August 2 include Liverpool International Carnival with lots of dancing and drumming, World in Prince's Park packed with family activities, Liverpool Mela featuring South Asian artists. The day is finished with Samba School in the centre of Liverpool. On August 7 children may create their own spectacle with a giant inflatable Oogly Boogly, and start their fun fair games with their muscles in Sensazione.
The culmination of the Imagine Festival takes place on August 10 with the Children's Festival- an imaginary city in the Liverpool historical district. Other events include Nutkhat and Small Worlds installation, or theatre workshops Splatterdays.
