CIVIS Media Prize 2010

CIVIS – Europe’s Media Prize for Integration and Cultural Diversity - will recognize programme contributions on the radio, television and the Internet, which are particularly suitable for the promotion of peaceful coexistence in the European immigration society - without denying the existence of conflicts.
All radio and television broadcasting companies as well as website providers
in the European Union and Switzerland may participate in the competition.
The deadline for entries is 20 January 2010. The registration for the competition must be made online.
There will also be a European sponsorship prize for young journalists and students at film and media schools and colleges - ‘Young CIVIS Media Prize’. Also journalistically-designed websites on the theme of integration and cultural diversity will be recognised for the first time in 2010 in ‘CIVIS Online Prize’
The prize-giving and TV gala of the European CIVIS Media Prize 2010 will take place at the beginning of May 2010 in Berlin.
The CIVIS Media Prize is organised by the Association of the Public Broadcasting Corporations in the Federal Republic of Germany (ARD), represented by Westdeutscher Rundfunk (WDR), together with the Freudenberg Foundation.
