Rainbow Paper II: Online Consultation Open Now
(2008 05 07 00:21)
The Rainbow Platform is an initiative under the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue 2008 started by the European Forum for the Arts and Heritage - EFAH and the European Cultural Foundation - ECF in October 2006. It attempts to strike links between the thinking on cultural diversity in the arts and culture with that of organisations in the fields of life-long-learning, youth, social affairs, anti-racism, minority rights and inter-religious dialogue.
The Platform has already brought together over 200 organisations from many sectors who shared intercultural dialogue practice. Results of these discussions were published in January 2008 in Rainbow Paper I. Rainbow Paper II which is action oriented is now available for on-line consultation. It is going to be a tool for civil society organisations to commit to the action proposals and to support the political recommendations.
It is possible to comment on-line on the Rainbow Paper II until 16 May. The last chance for input will be during the Platform Plenary on 4 June in Brussels
The paper and the list of supporting organisations will be presented on 17-19 November in Paris at the closing event of the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue under the French EU Presidency.
