(2008 05 09 07:09)
Creative Clusters is an independent policy conference examining the growth of the creative economy. Worldwide initiatives with impact in cultural and economic terms are of great interest to the organisers. Creative Clusters believes that now is the time of the creative economy and sees creativity as the key factor which drives development. The main aim of the conference is to give people working with these issues an opportunity to exchange ideas.
This year’s event takes place in Glasgow. During the conference five main themes are going to be brought up:
The creative economy in smaller nations.
The moving image goes online: harnessing global media for the regional economy.
Policies for festivity: the creative economy and live events.
Strategic leadership in the creative economy.
The long story of Glasgow's creative economy.
Creative Clusters awaits presentations from creative industry development people from around the world as it builds most of the conference programme basing on such presentations. The deadline for the submission of the presentations has been extended until 19 May. The presentations should aim to meet the purpose of the conference which is enabling participants to: learn from each other, identify and articulate policy issues, connect to development resources and showcase their work
