Tales in Nature, Sandnes, 2008
(2008 05 27 12:51)
Tales in Nature is a project resulting from a cultural survey for Sandnes in 2004 showing that Sandnes should contribute for Stavanger2008 with recreational outdoors activities. Tales in Nature in cooperation with clubs, association and other cultural stakeholders will present a variety of cultural events using the existing recreational areas.
There are many events prepared within this project. For example kindergartens have created both large and small colourful installations giving the public an inspirational orienteering course. It is going to take place from 13 to 30 June 2008 in Gramstad.
From 1 until 30 June 2008 it is possible to see temporary architectural installations created by students from the Fiuni School of Architecture + Design. The installations emphasise the interaction between architecture, nature and the landscape as they consist of sustainable, environmentally-friendly constructions.
Another proposition is Storytelling - the Centre for Narrative Art goes out on an outing to tell their stories on 31 August 2008. Last but not least, The Gramstad boat is to be a place where the new Sandnes inhabitants can show their view of the world and a place where new experiences, both physical and spiritual, can happen. It can be visited from 27 April until 31 December 2008.
More information about all the events is available here.
