Fairytales in Landscape :: August 19 – 28, 2008, Stavanger, Norway
(2008 08 07 15:19)
Rogland Theatre has prepared an open-air project Fairytales in Landscape based on the European tradition of storytelling. The fairytales, however, will be presented in a contemporary form, and will exceed our expectations concerning what an open-air theatre should look like. Three components of the production: lyrics, music and movement will play an equally important role in the performance. The show is directed by an internationally renowned theatre director of Lithuanian nationality Oskaras Korsunovas. One of the stories is a play 'These Eyes' based on the text written especially for this performance by Jon Fosse, an accomplished contemporary dramatist.
The whole show will tak place on the peninsula of Lundsneset at Hundvåg in Stavanger.
The project is a part of the presentation Stavanger2008 as the European Capital of Culture 2008.
