The ARS BALTICA call for projects is open to project leaders from the different fields of arts and culture. ARS BALTICA prioritizes projects with a broad participation from the Baltic Sea Region. The accreditation is also open to partners from other regions and other continents – as long as there are involved at least three projects partners from three different ARS BALTICA member states.
Projects that wish to be granted with the ARS BALTICA logo shall be of high artistic value and focus on the visibility of the cultural diversity and the identity of the Baltic Sea Region. Projects which take into account current processes and developments in the Baltic Sea Region from a cultural perspective, are especially welcome to send in an application.
In the application, there must be named the project leader and the participating project partners/ institutions from at least two more different countries of the Baltic Sea Region.
"ARS BALTICA is not a bureaucratic construction for political posturing, but a concept that stands for unconventional and committed collaboration in real cooperative projects." (Rainer Haarmann, former ARS BALTICA Coordinator, 1997)
