Open Call Art Hub Copenhagen

Art Hub Copenhagen invites artists for a residency aimed to create and expand the artists' networks both nationally and internationally. Recently graduated artists and artists, for whom the residency programme could make a difference in terms of establishing and expanding their practice nationally and internationally are welcome to apply.

Art Hub Residency offers to selected artists a studio, a monthly fee, a production budget, and a programme of development and feedback based on the needs of each artist. The programme features meetings with selected curators/mentors and a programme of visits to selected art institutions in Denmark.

There is no requirement to produce work during the residency, it might involve research and studies, trying out ideas, or actual production. But there is the requirement that each artist must present their practice, research, work, or project to the public during their residency. The form of presentation is up to the artist. It could be a talk, a podcast, a video, a text, a viewing, a performance, or something completely different. Most of the residency time should also be spent at Art Hub Copenhagen’s premises on Halmtorvet in Copenhagen.

Art Hub Residency is open to recently graduated artists and artists, for whom the residency programme could make a difference in terms of establishing and expanding their practice nationally and internationally. The residency will take place between February to June 2023. The organisers encourage everyone, regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, identity, and sexuality, to apply. Applications can be submitted until 31 October. Find more information about the Open Call criteria here.

Art Hub Copenhagen is an international art institution and meeting place in Copenhagen aimed at supporting and promoting young, professional visual artists; broadening and qualifying public debates on artistic practice as well as strengthening the voice of artists in society.
