The Tallinn Music Week (TMW) is a multi-genre festival of unique talent across Europe and beyond with diverse genres from experimental electronica to metal to classical for tomorrow's music, arts and ideas. TMW is looking for artists from every genre across the globe to apply for a chance to play at the next festival edition in May 2023.
TMW 2023 is divided into three parts:
- The Music Festival will take place between 11 and 13 May with around 150 – 200 artists from various genres and scenes from all over Europe and beyond. The festival takes place in Tallinn’s best venues with an audience of around 15,000 people and 1,000 music industry professionals from international markets and the Baltic-Nordic region.
- The Music Industry Conference will takes place on 12 and 13 May with panel discussions, presentations and various practical activities, including dedicated mentoring sessions and one-on-ones with industry professionals. The Conference will be available to watch online via TMW DigiPRO platform.
- The City Festival will take place between 10 and 14 May with daytime explorations across Tallinn from city stage gigs to art and cuisine.
Tallinn Music Week offers TMW 2023 PRO passes to all artists/artist collective members and representatives for a participation in both the music festival and conference (both in-person and online), including in the artist education programme of workshops and mentoring sessions. The festival also offers access to the TMW PRO digi-platform and networking options with the region’s key music industry professionals as well as with selected international industry experts.
Applications can be submited until 12 December. Artists chosen to perform will be announced in stages from February to March 2023. More information about the Open Call can be found here.
