Sixteen Finalists for BSR Cultural Pearls 2025

18 small and medium-sized municipalities followed the Open Call for BSR Cultural Pearls 2025 with 16 candidates advancing to the Final-Selection-Phase, a step closer to becoming one of the BSR Cultural Pearls 2025. ARS BALTICA, alongside its project partners congratulates all 18 applicants.

With 12 applicants having emerged in last year's round for BSR Cultural Pearls, ARS BALTICA, alongside its project partners, is more than delighted that this year 18 small and medium-sized municipalities followed the Open Call for BSR Cultural Pearls 2025.  Following Pre-Selection by the project partner consortium, 16 of these 18 applicants advanced to the next phase to which the final selection by a jury of international experts in the social and cultural field is adjacent. The Finalists are:

Lithuania: Alytus District
Latvia: Smiltene, Cesvaine, Stāmeriena
Poland: Plock, Redzikowo, Słupsk, Kobylinca, Tarnogród
Finland: Hailuoto, Kaskinen, Nykarleby
Denmark: Vejle
Estonia: Peipsiääre, Mulgi
Sweden: Helsingborg

Supported through national mentors, expert webinars, access to a good practices catalogue and the experience of the BSR Cultural Pearls 2024, these municipalities now dive into the development of their Culture and Resilience Action Plans, which are to be judged in the final selection.

Congratulations and best of luck to all of them! And a warm welcome to all 18 applicants as new members to our network building social resilience through culture!
