Baltic Sea Youth Dialogue 2021

The Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) is calling 18–25-year-olds from around the Baltic Sea Region to join the "Baltic Sea Youth Dialogue 2021: Looking forward, looking back – 30 Years of Collaboration in the Baltic Sea Region".

The event will consist of three presentations with the opportunity to talk to experts from the region, as well as the following activities:

  • Cross-country assignment: get together with three other young people from the region and get the chance to discuss in a Q&A session at the end of 3 lectues with knowledgeable experts from the fields of cultural cooperation, security coopereation or enviromental cooperation. Get inspired by the chosen lecture and the dialogue within the group and create an output together, which represents your ideas (this could be a  written, graphic or audiovisual work; deadline: 28 November)
  • Learning Diary: All 15-25 year olds can follow the streamed lectures and send in their individual reflections as a 2-page Lerning Diary on one of the lectures (deadline: 14 November)

The timeline for the lectures and participaten regulations can be found here. Applications, participation and creative entries are encouraged and there will be prizes for the three best groups (one in each category), and the three best individual entries. Finalists will be selected by a distinguished panel of judges and awarded prizes during the online ceremony on 11 December.

The Council of the Baltic Sea States is an inter-governmental political forum for cooperation in the Baltic Sea Region. The CBSS functions as a coordinator of a multitude of regional actors in the areas of its three long-term priorities: Regional Identity, Sustainable & Prosperous Region, Safe & Secure Region.
