BUSTER is Scandinavia's largest film festival for children and young people that shows more than 170 films and TV series from all over the world and offers special events in Copenhagen cinemas.
The aim of the festival is to bring the latest quality films and strong media content to 3-16 year olds by a kindergarten programme, a school programme and an audience programme. Over 30,000 children, teachers and families attend the festival each year. The festival takes place primarily in central Copenhagen, but can also be found in Frederiksberg, Brønshøj, Amager, Odense and at special venues across the country. In addition, BUSTER offers Nordic short films for free streaming in the pan-Nordic network of Nordic film festivals NoJSe. This year's festival will take place from today to 9 October. BUSTER Children's Media Conference will takes place on 3 October at Cinemateket in Copenhagen. This year, the conference will focus on the digital lives and communities of children and young people. At the same time, inclusion and participation of the target group will be a central theme. The programme will be interdisciplinary and include a mix of research-based studies and practice-oriented cases in film, TV series, games, animation, social media, etc.
