Closing events of the city of Kiel as BSR Cultural Pearl 2024

As the end of 2024 approaches, the title year of the first four Baltic Sea Cultural Pearls, which were honoured as part of the BSR Cultural Pearl project, is also coming to an end. The city of Kiel is one of them and has planned a closing conference and concert, to which ARS BALTICA is pleased to pass on the invitations.

This year, the (small and medium-sized) towns and municipalities of Rūjiena in Latvia, Jakobstad/Pietarsaari in Finland, Svendborg in Denmark and Kiel in Germany have set out to build and expand their social resilience through art and culture with the involvement of the civilian community.

At the end of the current project year within the ‘BSR Cultural Pearls’ project, co-financed by the Interreg programme for the Baltic Sea region, the City of Kiel is inviting people to a one-day-conference in the Kiel City Council Chamber next Friday, 15 November from 3.30 pm. There will be a keynote speech as well as a round table discussion with project partners and a performance by the inclusive choir ‘Bunte Farben’. After the conference, there will also be an opportunity for all interested parties to exchange ideas at the ‘Social Marketplace’.
Further information can be found here (in German) and please register by E-mail at kreativ[at]kiel.de.

On Sunday, 1 December at 11.00 am, the City of Kiel also invites you to the Musiculum Kiel to celebrate the title year with a final concert. Entry is free and admission starts half an hour before the programme. The programme includes impressions from the four award-winning countries Germany, Denmark, Finland and Latvia. Further information can be found here (in German).
