The Baltic Sea Region is a unique region that is facing the challenge of many differing national points of views on how to tackle climate issues. The fact of a common Baltic Sea underlines the need of transnational cooperation. Where politics and policy making are facing limits due to national subjective point of views and positions, the cultural sector can go beyond those limits. The CULTURE4CLIMATE initiative works on establishing a collaborative and cross-sectional forum for the Baltic Sea Region to address the challenges of climate change together. We believe that the cultural sector can take a leading role in tackling climate change.
