CulturEU Funding Guide

The European Commission launched an interactive guide mapping all funding opportunities available at European Union level for the cultural and creative sectors: CulturEU. The funding guide aims to help players identify the most suitable sources of EU support for their projects including a total of 75 funding opportunities from 21 different EU programmes such as Creative Europe and Horizon Europe to structural funds and InvestEU.

With this interactive guide, the European Commission wants to ease access to the funding opportunities available for the cultural and creative sectors across all the funding sources of the European Union available in 2021-2027. Interested parties will be able to find the right funding opportunity, based on the sector they are working in, type of organisation and the support they are looking for. CulturEU will be regularly updated with the most recent information on new calls coming out, and will be available in all EU languages in early 2022.

How it works: a series of questions need to be answered based on the industry the applicant is in, the type of organization and the support that is sought. Based on the results, the most suitable funding sources and tenders can be narrowed down. The results are accompanied by the available budgets, the application process of the various funding sources and a link to the specific programs or calls for proposals. Information on how to navigate the cultural funding guide and about the different EU funding programmes can be found here.

Creative Europe is the EU’s flagship programme providing specific support to the cultural and creative sectors. It wants to develop all cultural sectors in Europe and protect Europe’s shared cultural heritage, in particular by providing various funding opportunities aimed at co-creation, skills development, network and platform building, knowledge-sharing and mobility and distribution and promotion of content.
