European Creative Industries Summit

The European Creative Industries Summit (ECIS) is a yearly conference organised by the European Creative Business Network. ECIS 2021 will contribute to the unlocked potentials of the European creative economy and recovery of Europe taking place from 12 to 15 September 2021.

Hosted by the Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the EU, Creativeforum.si, the European Creative Industries Summit and the Centre for Creativity Slovenia will gather creatives from the European Union and beyond to identify skills, tools and methods used to unlock the potential of the global creative economy. Questions such as how it can best contribute to green transition, social innovation, economic growth and innovative administration, efficient in building a sustainable post-COVID world will be discussed during the summit. The high-level conference will also address the CCSs’ often overlooked yet unique contribution to foreign relations, with particular focus on ensuring peace and stability.

The videos of the pre-events that took place in April, May and June can be found here.

Creativeforum.si is a platform for a lively and cross-sectoral exchange between creatives, entrepreneurs and policy makers. It invites different sectors – industry, foreign policy, education, tourism and more – to jointly create an enabling environment for the cultural and creative sector to prosper.

Centre for Creativity Slovenia was established in 2017 as an interdisciplinary platform to support Slovenia's cultural and creative sector.

European Creative Business Network is a not for profit foundation promoting the interests of the cultural creative industries in Europe. Given the diversity of cultural expressions as well as of cultural and creative markets across Europe, ECBN works – on purposes indirectly and decentralized – by supporting leading agencies, funders and intermediaries on local, regional and/or national level to help them support their cultural and creative entrepreneurs.
