First BSR Cultural Pearl 2024 awarded in Kiel, Germany

On March 1, ARS BALTICA took part in the 'Kieler Kulturkraft 2024' barcamp, the first official event within the Cultural Pearls Title Year of the City of Kiel in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, since the offical Title Awarding Ceremony posed the opening of the day.

Representatives from the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) as project lead and the Ministry of European Affairs (MLLEV) as local partner held speeches on the project's development and impact prior to announcing Kiel as Cultural Pearl 2024. The Mayor of Kiel, Renate Treutel (right), and Kiel team lead, Annette Wiese-Krukowska (middle) happily accepted the trophy from CBSS' Felix Schartner Giertta (left, see picture).
120 participants from different parts of the cultural, creative and social sector joined the event and the following open conference format. The barcamp offered room to discuss networking and overall development opportunities within and between the sectors.
