Forecast Mentoring Programme

The international one-on-one-mentoring program Forecast, initiated by the German non-profit organisation Skills e. V., is looking for 18 audacious, barrier-smashing artists whose project transcends disciplinary boundaries.

The 8th iteration of the programme will once more pair the artists up with accomplished mentors, guiding them approximately half a year towards the realization of their project. For example, the mentors suggest funding opportunities and give creative input.

To apply, artists have to choose their preferred mentor to be, with options being voice artist Ute Wassermann, documentary filmmaker Tomer Heymann, visual artist Theo Eshetu, designer Fiona Raby, photographer Lieko Shiga or choreographer Alice Ripoll. The nominees will present their ideas at the Forecast Forum in Radialsystem, Berlin from July 29th to August 5th.

Following the selection of six mentees afterwards, the mentoring shall bring your project to fruition and includes an in-person stay with the respective mentor at a host institution for about one week. Forecast provides an artist fee and production budget during this phase. The mentees will display their result at the Forecast Festival in Berlin on March 14 and 15, 2025.

Are you eager to realize your concept through the Forecast mentoring? Apply now or keep reading.

Deadline: 26 February 2024
