IETM Focus Fair Enough?

IETM Focus Meetings will focus on fair and green transition of the performing arts sector. The first IETM Focus event "Fair enough?" will take place on 7 and 8 April in Brussels as a space to explore, critique and improve work practices and conditions.

The event will also focus on questions such as: Are work practices and conditions fair enough? Human enough? What does “fair'' mean in your specific professional context? What practices and conditions can you and your organisation change and what is beyond your power? Which actions could you take, to influence broader systemic change?

Join the first IETM Focus Meeting to outline the diverse and common strategies of IETM members for a fair, equal and inclusive performing arts ecosystem. The event will also be an opportunity to experience the diversity of the Belgian performing arts scene. More information can be found here.

The IETM Focus Brussels 2022 is happening as part of the Creative Europe project The New International in the Performing Arts (NIPA): Bridging local and global. The core aim of NIPA is to stimulate innovation of cross-border collaboration models in the performing arts. The partners envision a new state of play, where fair, inclusive and equal collaborations, based on environmentally sustainable practices, become mainstream, and where local realities deepened by global perspectives are at heart.

The project will be structured around three strands, each getting a specific focus in one of the three years of the project: Inclusivity, Equality & Fairness (2022); Green Transition (2023); The New International explored through translocality (2024).

IETM – International network for contemporary performing arts is one of the oldest and largest international cultural networks, representing the voice of over 500 performing arts organisations and individual professionals working in the contemporary performing arts worldwide.
