Open Call Nordic Lights

NORDIC LIGHTS, an union of three emerging audiovisual festivals, have launched an Open Call for the first audiovisual residency and performance program. Artist from Nordic countries are welcome to apply.

NORDIC LIGHTS has a strong focus on audiovisual art and an aim to improve the Nordic AV art scene. The outcome of the project will be six new audiovisual performances created by 12 artists and presented at 3 festivals. The performances will be formed at mini-residencies in Norway, Finland and Sweden hosted by the festivals, where selected artists will collaborate across national borders.

The call is open to creators, who are residents in one of the nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Faroe Islands, Greenland and Åland. If selected, participants will be paired with another artist, and be given the support and resources required to create a new audiovisual performance at one of the three hosting festivals. Applications can be submitted until 15 March. More information can be found here.

NORDIC LIGHTS is organised by four cultural organisations operating in the Nordic countries, who all aim to improve the state of audiovisual art:Aavistus Festival (FI), Monument (NO), Nonagon (SE) and Nordic Audiovisual Artists (NAVA). NORDIC LIGHTS is supported by Nordic Culture Point.
