JOSEPHA: Celebration of new German-Polish Literary Scholarship | 10 Dezember 2024

Atelier Josepha has expanded its portfolio: JOSEPHA is the name of this new addition, a German-Polish literary scholarship programme aiming to help make new voices in Polish literature better known in Germany.

JOSEPHA is supported by the publishing house edition.fotoTAPETA and Atelier Josepha. The Polish partner publisher of JOSEPHA is Wydawnictwo Cyranka from Warsaw. A board of trustees made up of six experts from the Polish literary scene selects the winners, who are then invited to spend four weeks working at Atelier Josepha in Ahrenshoop on the Baltic Sea with their book published in German translation by edition.fotoTAPETA.

To celebrate this new development, everyone interested is invited to the Polish Institute Berlin at Burgstraße 27 in Mitte on Tuesday, 10 December 2024, at 7.00 pm. The initiators Charlotte Streck and Andreas Rostek; the curators Marcin Piekoszewski and Dorota Stroińska; and the first prizewinner Izabela Tadra with her translator Andreas Volk will be present.
