The Kai Residency by Kai Art Center, supported by Nordic Culture Point, offers two artists, curators or writers from the Nordic and Baltic states an up to two month long residency in Tallinn, Estonia between September and December 2025.
Who can Apply?
Applicants should have a professional practice of at least five years. Collectives with a track record of collaboration will also be considered if they are willing to share living space. Applications are open to residents of the Nordic states (Denmark, Finland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Åland) or the Baltic states (Latvia, Lithuania). Applicants do not need Nordic or Baltic nationality. Two Nordic or Baltic applicants will be accepted (with a focus on applicants from Iceland, Norway, and Sweden).
What is Offered?
- Full cost coverage (arrival/departure, local transport, accomodations, administrative support, per diems)
- Office space (not workspace, focus on research-based practices)
- Project duration up to 2 months in Autumn 2025, at least 6-8 weeks in full-time residence in Tallinn
- Invitation to participate in all Kai Art Center activities
- Presentation of at least one publich programme expected
