LIVEMX: Open Call for Projects from Music Organisations | Deadline 24 June 2024

Experienced music organisations in EU or Creative Europe member states can apply for cascaded lump sum funding. Three strands with amounting up to EUR 20.000, 40.000 or 60.000 are available to cover amongst other expenses staff, travel and accomodation costs, subcontracting and equipment. The projects should bring European added value in the conflict fields of music export, live music venues and digital circulation and engagement.

The areas music export and live music venues encompass three challenges, to one of which the applying project should correspond and suggest a solution. The third topic is designated for digital solutions to the challenges of music export and live music venues, be it training in the usage of digital tools for professionals or the adaptation of and experimentation with digital strategies in the music sector. Project activities can include the creation of new knowledge, piloting of approaches or the dissemination of skills and competence through training. The challenges are as follows: 

Music export: 

1. Developing music export through co-creation 

2. Promoting new music and artists abroad in innovative ways 

3. Developing professional networks and understanding of new markets 

Live music venues: 

1. Developing artists‘ circulation in Europe 

2. Developing ecological solutions adapted to the live music sector 

3. Developing strategies for new audiences 

LIVEMX, who initiated this call supported by Music Moves Europe, strives to diversify the music sector and incite advances in sustainability, so that music organisations and professionals can thrive in such a dynamic field. To implement the expected results all across Europe, applicants are asked either to collaborate with cultural actors from a multitude of states in the project’s main phase or to create outcomes that can easily be transferred to other countries.
