On the Move, in partnership with Music Export Poland, has launched the Music Mobility Funding Guide with a focus on Europe and an overview of the funding bodies and programmes that support the international mobility of music artists and other music professionals travelling from and/or to European countries.
The guide aims to transparently consolidate existing information that can help individuals and organisations to find the best ways to engage with international colleagues and finance their cross-border travel, including only opportunities that are regularly occurring, accessible online, invite applications through open calls, and that cover at least a portion of international travel costs. The guide also tries to highlight schemes that take into account societal concerns – particularly programmes that make extra funding available for overland travel (where possible), for the needs of disabled artists or caregivers, and/ or for digital or hybrid formats of cross-border collaboration. On the Move is the international information network focused on the mobility of artists and cultural professionals that has, in 2023, 66 members in 24 countries. Music Export Poland Foundation was created out of the need to expand the export of Polish music and promote it on foreign markets.
