NEMO’s European Museum Conference | Deadline 20 October 2024

The Network of European Museum Organisations (NEMO) is hosting its annual conference, this year from 10-12 November and on the topic “Can we talk? Museums facing polarization” in Sibiu, Romania. It is about the vital role museums (can) play in today’s challenged democracies.

Supported by the partners Rețeaua Națională a Muzeelor din România, ASTRA museum and co-founded by the European Union, NEMO’s upcoming conference will address the question of how museums can face the polarisation due to massive and disruptive challenges our societies are facing. Furthermore, participants can get inspired by examples from European museums and successful strategies from other sectors.

NEMO members receive 2 free tickets per member organization. A general single ticket costs 180,00 EUR and student tickets 90,00 EUR. People working in the Romanian museum sector and heritage organisations can get the ticket for 90,00 EUR. The conference ticket includes access to all conference offers, including tours, meals and receptions. With inspirational keynote speeches, enlightening panel discussions and engaging workshops, the NEMO’s European Museum Conference seeks to address the vital role museums play in today’s challenged democracies.
