Each year, Atelier Josepha in Ahrenshoop, Germany, organises an artist-in-residence programme for two artists from the Baltic Sea Region. For Autumn 2024 the next two residents are now selected.
The Board of Curators, which ARS BALTICA's director Marcus Hagemann is part of, has selected
- Patrycja Orzechowska, visual artist & book author from Gdansk (POL)
- Isabella Martin, visual artist from Copenhagen (DEN)
During their respective time at Atelier Josepha, Patricia Orzechowska will continue working on her art book 'Deadline Never Ending Story', which she started in 2012, while Isabella Martin will be working on a project that maps and records the rhythms of the Baltic Sea through observational drawing, audio field recordings and marine climate data.
