NEXT RENAISSANCE PROJECT

The project The Next Renaissance is a global movement and debate designed to support and promote European actors from the cultural and creative sectors and industries (CCSI).

That is why 50 partners from all areas have been working together in the CCSI since 2020, from individual artists, cultural initiatives and institutions, networks, associations and mediators to SMEs, global corporations, universities and research institutes. The Next Renaissance includes contributions from all over Europe: artists, writers, professors, businessmen, technologists, mixed talents are part of the whole. A taste of different ways to express dreams for a creative and innovative Europe.

The collaboration is united in the belief that innovation and cross-innovation through the creative industries are key to Europe's future. The mission is (cross) innovation by creative economy, in short: ICE. This ICE consortium is coordinated and led by a team from North Rhine Westphalia, Germany, supported by the NRW Ministry for Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitization and Energy and the Federal Ministry for Education and Research in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for Economy and Climate Protection and the State Ministry for Culture and Media - and above all by organizations and individuals from education, research, business and civil society in CCSI from all over Europe. The ICE Consortium has applied to the European Institute for Innovation and Technology's call for a knowledge and innovation community for the cultural and creative sectors and industries.
