NordArt Digital Exhibition

The "NordArt" exhibition that takes place annually in Büdelsdorf, Northern Germany has gone a digital way to present 5 Digital Guided Tours with works by international artists such as Viktor Frešo, Katerina Belkina and Nina Murashkina within NordArt exhibitions.

NordArt is a contemporary art exhibition located in Büdelsdorf, Germany, it is one of the biggest exhibitions in Europe due to its 80,000 sqm big park and two old production facilities that were converted into exhibition areas.

Since 1999 the NordArt attracts artists as well as visitors from all over the world, every year a different country is picked as a focus county. Artists from the picked country get a whole section of the exhibition to show their art. The NordArt is an overall work of art in its own right and is designed as such each year. More than 200 international artists, selected by a jury, present a comprehensive panorama of contemporary art. Each individual work not only speaks for itself but also creates new perspectives when seen juxtaposed against the unique backdrop offered by the Carlshütte and the adjacent historical sculpture park.

Due to the current lockdown in Germany NordArt presents 5 Digital Guided Tours through NordArt exhibitions on their YouTube channel with works by the Czech artist Michal Gabriel, the Chinese artist Liu Ruowang, Slovak artist Viktor Frešo, the sculptor Jo Kley,  XU Songbo, Birgitta Sundström Jansdotter, Elsa and Johanna, Katerina Belkina, Nina Murashkina and Daniel Harms.l.

The NordArt offers space for music as well, since 2011 the Schleswig Holstein Music Festival and other concerts take place at NordArt to foster the worldwide network of artists and to forward the crossover between fine arts and music. The Carlshütte, a part of NordArt, offers room for up to 1,200 people at once.
