NORDEN Festival

Situated in the greenery directly on the beach of the Schlei, visitors of the NORDEN festival can experience current music, short films, readings and street theater from Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg and the European countries bordering the Baltic Sea during the period of 24 August and 10 September.

Over 300 individual events will take place on the Königswiesen in Schleswig, Germany during this year's festival. Artists from Scandinavia, the Baltic States and Poland, Iceland and the Netherlands as well as northern Germany will present an exciting cross-section of current music, literature and street theater. In the cinema, excellent films from various film festivals in Schleswig-Holstein can be seen. In addition to various concerts, live acts and readings, the festival also offers a variety of different workshops such as crafting and making music.

A late night showon every Saturday will take place at this year's edition for the first time. In addition to NORDEN veteran Oliver Lück and multi-talent Florian Hacke, Raúl Krauthausen will talk about accessibility and inclusion. The organisers have also expanded the Lüttland and have planned a special cultural programme for children and their parents with workshops and hands-on activities. The whole program can be found here.
