Open Call Nordic Watercolour Museum

The Nordic Watercolour Museum aims to support artistic development and create a place for new thoughts and processes for artists. Therefore the museum offers residencies in the guest studios next to the museum.

The Nordic Watercolour Museum explores watercolour painting, contemporary and historically. This is done through exhibitions, research, art education and by promoting the contemporary Nordic art scene. One of The Nordic Watercolour Museum's basic ideas is the concept of art and learning. Since day one, the museum has conducted a wide range of educational activities. From spring to autumn six to eight artists are offered a 7day stay in the museeum and a travel grant up to 1000 SEK. The organisers are especially curious about the meetings and processes that can occur between the artist, the place, the visitors and the exhibitions. The museum is located in Skärhamn, Sweden.

Deadline for submitting applications is 1 October. The application must contain a short motivation as well as a short presentation of the artistic work in form of photos, videos, web links etc. The selection is made by a jury consisting of representatives from the museum.More information can be found here.
