The hub for dance discovery Aerowaves is offering an annual open call for emerging choreographers working in Europe who want to become one of the Aerowaves Twenty.
Everyone who applies to Aerowaves has the chance to have their work programmed by the partners of the network, whether or not they are selected as Aerowaves artists. Around 100 performance opportunities are guaranteed by the partners and supported by Aerowaves each year. Artists also may be selected to perform their work at the Spring Forward Festivalnext year in Darmstadt, Wiesbaden and Mainz (Germany). The work of selected applicantswill be promoted by Aerowaves via its website for one year by an artist profile, with images, video and press coverage.
Applicants have to be residents in geographical Europe, submitted work must be 15-40 minutes in length. Previous Aerowaves applicants, successful or unsuccessful, may apply again with a different work. The Open Call deadline is 10 August. Find more information here.
