Open Call Artist Residency

This transformative residency program connects local communities, festivals and artists to ensure environmentally neutral festival programmes. The selected artists will enjoy two stays for ten days each at two different festival locations and end the project with a presentation of their work at the first festival they visited.

Green Streets of Europe: Releaving the Environmental Burden of Festivals (POR, CRO, CZE, DEN)

The four festivals wanting to co-develop new sustainable formats are the Imaginarius in Santa Maria de Feira, Portugal, KoresponDance in Žďár nad Sázavou, Czech Republic, Špancirfest in Varaždin, Croatia and the Danish Passage Festival in Helsingør. All of them are located in rural areas, but lie relatively close to the city center, which facilitates the desired networking between artists and the municipalities. 3000 EUR per person constitute the residency fee, to which cost of room and board as well as travel costs can be added.
