Floating EKA is hosting a three-day Artistic Laboratory, inviting artists passionate about exploring the diverse Eastern heritage regarding the challenges of the 20th century. It takes place in Szczecin, Poland at the end of March 2024
OPEN CALL ARTISTIC LABORATORY The 2024 edition of the Laboratory is on the topic 'I Inherit What You Lost'. In more detail, the challenges of the 20th century in Eastern Europe, Eastern Partnership countries and Central Asia will be discussed. Specifically, the project aims to uncover hidden gems of "dissonant heritage" as a platform to craft meaningful and impactful artworks. Individuals aged 18 and above originating from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Belarus*, and Russia* can apply. 10-12 activists, researchers, opinion leaders will receive the opportunity to participate. The selected artists will collaborate closely with project curators to refine and develop their artistic concepts, preparing them for execution and presentation at the exhibition in Szczecin upon arrival. |
