Open Call Artists

From December 2023 to January 2024, the unique ‘International Artists Exchange Programme’ gives 15 international and 15 Bradford-based artists an enticing development opportunity, completely conducted via Zoom.

EXCHANGE AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME FOR ARTISTS (ONLINE)

The programme will entail seven workshops, two ‘inspiration sessions‘ with artists actively engaged in international work as well as a number of ‘Go & Sees‘: watching and discussing international performances.

The Bradford Producing Hub (BPH) strives to foster Bradford’s relations to artists worldwide. As ‘Cultural Capacity Partners’ they collaborate with Bradford 2025, the organisation preparing transformational activities for Bradford as the ‘UK City of Culture’ in 2025. Their immersive online experience is funded by the British Council.

While all art disciplines are welcome in the programme, the primary focus remains on live and performing arts. Thematically, the workshops cover a plethora of aspects related to international touring. Logistics, languages, finances, partnerships and collaboration avenues are just a few of the topics renowned experts will delve into. In addition, they will provide ample room for the exchange between the participants, to talk about their different ways of work and their international aspirations.
