Developing, testing and presenting a jointly planned art project – these are the goals of the residency programme ‘Culture Utopias‘. It comprises two timeslots in Romania, Poland and, contingent upon the war situation, one in Ukraine.
‘CULTURE UTOPIAS‘: COLLABORATIVE RESIDENCY (POL, ROU, UKR)
The stakeholders, the Romanian Gabriela Tudor Foundation, the Polish Wroclaw Institute of Culture and the Ukrainian Proto Produkciia, encourage artists, cultural managers, activists and also citizens of the three partnering countries to complete the application. The diverse selected applicants will then convene from July 3-30 in Bucharest to formulate a concept in relation to contemporary European challenges. A testing and evaluating phase follows in Wroclaw from August 15th to September 15th, 2024. If feasable, a final presentation at the ‘What’s next?‘ gathering in Kiev will wrap up the programme.
Expert mentoring and eight hours of exchange and workshops per day are supplemented by insights into the respective local culture. The programme does not only cover the seminar, accomodation and travel costs in public transportation services, but also pays a fee of 1500 EUR in Romania and 1000 EUR in Poland.
