The third Baltic Dance Platform will take place in the capital of Latvia, Riga on 9-11 February 2024. The organisers are looking for contemporary dance artists of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia for the edition.
There are two Call categories:
- Full performance: indoor or in a site-specific location, open-air dance performance, digital dance performance or dance film with no restriction of length. Only those works which were created and premiered from 1 November 2021 till 14 May 2023 may be presented.
10-minute live or video pitch presentation and speech plus 5-minute Q&A with moderator and experts. Productions or a series of works can already have premiered from 1 November 2021 till 14 May 2023, or they can be a work-in-progress, an artistic idea. 1-2 artist/company representatives of the selected projects need to be available to give the Pitch presentation in person at the Baltic Dance Platform.
It is possible to apply for one or all categories. The call is also open to companies residing in Baltic countries or outside the region, also to foreign professional artists or companies residing in Baltic countries. The organisers will cover travel costs, accommodation for those traveling from outside the Riga capital area as well as pay a fee for the presentation of the performances. Selected participants and their creative works will also be featured on Baltic Dance Platform media, social media, and partners’ channels.
