The Goethe-Institut (Germany), Czech Centres (Czechia), BoMiasto (Poland), PUNKT (Slovakia) and Tartu, the Estonian Capital of Culture 2024 decided it was time to observe and re-imagine bicycle cultures.
This decision by the Goethe-Institut (Germany), Czech Centres (Czechia), BoMiasto (Poland), PUNKT (Slovakia) and Tartu, the Estonian Capital of Culture 2024 resulted in a one-month residency in each of these countries, which enables one artist per residency to create a project of political influence to increase sustainable mobility. A very special opportunity for artists is the audience for their projects, consisting of the local community and direct contact to decisionmakers.
The programme covers a monthly fee of 1500 EUR, accommodation and travel costs up to 400 EUR with sustainable travelling being expected.
