"Designers in Residence" is an international scholarship program of the city of Pforzheim directed towards young designers in the areas of jewellery, fashion, accessories, industrial and communication design as well as other design disciplines.
A total of three scholarships for the three best applications will be awarded by the jury. Interdisciplinary project proposals are welcome.
Scholarship holders will stay in Pforzheim from 1 April until 30 June 2022, they will have access to fully equipped workshop workplaces as well as coworking desks in the EMMA Creative Center, the central platform for creative people in Pforzheim. The creative center has an area of 3,000 m² and offers workshops and co-working workplaces, ateliers, offices and exhibitions spaces.
In addition, each scholarship holder receives a monthly support and a reimbursement of the travel expenses for arrival and departure. The results of the scholarship will be presented in an exhibition at the EMMA Creative Center and in cooperation with the Design Center Baden-Württemberg in Stuttgart.
