DOK Preview Germany is a showcase for 6 to 7 German productions that will be in their final stages in October and would like to present themselves to international buyers, editors, world sales, festivals and distributors.
The organisers are looking for ambitious, creative, author-driven documentary projects with majority German participation, Works-in-Progress, planned completion fall/winter 2022/2023, feature-length documentaries (at least 79 minutes) suitable for theatrical release and festival exploitation as well as documentaries with an international audience in mind. Selected projects will be included in the DOK Preview Germany overview online which is accessible to more than 80 targeted decision makers.
The deadline for submission is 22 August. If selected, the applicants have to be in Leipzig on Monday, 17 October for the showcase and the networking event afterwards and should take part in the preparatory workshop designed to help all project teams grow the impact of their participation. The presentation will also be streamed live for decision makers who are not present. The showcase takes place with an audience of approximately 80 international buyers, distributors and festival curators. More information about the Open Call can be found here.
