Dynamo is a workspace for circus and performing arts in Denmark. The organisers are looking for professional contemporary circus artists and companies, based in the Nordic-Baltic region (excluding Denmark) for an upcoming 4-weeks residency in Spring 2023 at Dynamo.
DYNAMO aims to support the circus environment to its fullest extent by also providing artists with the opportunity to do unrestricted creative work and contribute to the development of contemporary circus in the Nordic-Baltic region and Europe. The Call is open to artists working in any discipline and with any artistic thematic across contemporary circus. The organisers especially encourage applications from artists/companies who plan to premiere their performance within a year from the residency.
Residents will be provided with an own workspace in Dynamo Studio as well as an access to basic circus rigging equipment, crash mats and to a backstage area, for meeting, rest, or showers. The organisers will also provide a 950 EUR production fee (per company) and cover travel costs to and from Denmark (up to 670 EUR per company). The residency will take place between 24 April and 22 May 2023 at DYNAMO, Finlandkaj 6, in Odense, Denmark.Applications can be submitted until 21 December. Find more information here.
DYNAMO regularly hosts guest performances, own productions, artist in residencies, artist talks and the special event DYNAMO AFTER DARK, where the organisers invite artists to talk, deepen and reflect, workshops, masterclasses and training facilities for professional circus performers.
