The call East Silver Market is for creative documentaries from the region of Central and Eastern Europe that deal with contemporary issues, challenge genre and media boundaries and encourage audience participation.
Welcome are films that aim to share intense and engaging experiences and transform the way we think about current issues, audiences, storytelling and the world itself. This call is open to completed documentaries produced/co-produced in the Central and Eastern Europe region.
Picking the nominees from 2022 East Silver Market submissions, East Silver international jury (comprising of international buyers, sales agents and festival selectors) awards the best documentary films with the Silver Eye Award. The total of 19 films competes in 2 main categories (short and featrue length documentary). All winners are granted with prize money. Only films that have not been previously submitted for the East Silver market are eligible. Submission deadline for films produced in 2021 and 2022: 31 May 2022
Submission deadline for projects in rough cut stage: 31 July 2022
