Open Call EMAP Residencies

A new round of EMAP residencies has started! Artists, collectives or other artistic collaborations working in the fields of digital art, media art, and bio art are welcome to apply until 12 September.

Selected residents will be invited to the kick-off conference and network meeting in Limassol in March 2024, a grant of € 4,000 including subsistence costs, a grant of € 2,000 for collaborating artist(s), production budget of €4,000, free accommodation, travel expenses up to € 1,000, and free access to technical facilities and/or media labs of the host institution. The residency also includes a professional presentation and the possibility to participate in exhibition tours at EMAP members’ festivals or exhibitions in 2024, plus the possibility to get exhibited by some of the over 100 EMAP partner institutions.

The residency of two months will take place within January to December 2024. The application phase ends on 12 September. Find more information here.

The European Media Art Platform initiated by werkleitz and co-funded by Creative Europe since 2018, is a consortium of 15 leading European media art organizations specialised in Digital and Media Art, Bio Art and Robotic Art. The consortium includes several renowned festivals dealing with these interdisciplinary art forms. EMAP also acts as a marketplace for Partners to select artists and works for their own festivals and exhibitions. In addition to production support for artists, the consortium provides an international platform to promote and disseminate the work of media artists.
