OPEN CALL Galleri Blunk

As a gallery space, Galerie Blunk aims to promote and introduce emerging artists from various disciplines to the public. Artists with experimental and emerging practices are encouraged to apply with completed work, but also with ongoing research that could be exhibited.

Applications for site-specific projects, performances and music events are also welcome. Blunk was founded in 2002 by students from the Trondheim Academy of Fine Art and is very open to new ideas and contributors. Proposals could include solo shows, group shows, and curatorial projects, the organisers are open to other ideas as well.

Galleri Blunk is an artist/student run non-commercial exhibition space, located at Svartlamon in Trondheim, Norway. The main goal of the gallery is to be an arena for art students and newly established artists, an arena where they are given a chance to show their work to the local townsfolk. The organisers strive towards using the gallerys simple form to stimulate meetings between contemporary art and the general public. Blunk arranges around 20 exhibitions each year and is one of the most important actors on the local art scene together with spaces like Rake, Babel and Gallery KIT. After being housed for ten years on Innherredsveien, the gallery opened the doors to its new space in 2012 at Strandveien 23 in Svartlamon.

Submission Deadline is 21 August. The exhibition will take place September to December 2022. More information can be found here.
