The Förderfonds de⁺ from Goethe-Institut in cooperation with the Federal Foreign Office supports filmfestivals, that have or want to develop an international profile and follows the goal to enable the entrance to filmculture and filmeducation across geographic, politic and social borders.
The program is open to Film Festivals and organizations based in Germany that have or would like to develop an international profile.
Förderfonds de⁺ supports formats of German film festivals that contribute to exchange, encounter and discourse between German and international audiences, between filmmakers, film critics, young filmmakers and institutions active in the different areas of the medium film. Program components of a festival that promote international encounters, exchange and discourse can be funded. These can be measures integrated into the festival as well as independent formats (e.g. travel and visitor programs, discourse events, participation in juries, ‘capacity building’ programs such as pitches, workshops, side events, participation in festivals, key topics, festival cooperations, or measures for film education).
Question and answer sessions on funding will be held on 4 May and 10 May, both from 5 to 6 PM. More information about the program can be found here.

Das Filmfestivalförderprogramm de⁺ des Goethe-Instituts in Kooperation mit dem Auswärtigen Amt verfolgt das Ziel, den Zugang zu Filmkultur und Filmbildung über geographische, politische und soziale Grenzen hinweg zu ermöglichen.
Innerhalb des Programms können sich Filmfestivals bewerben, die ein internationales Profil haben, bzw. entwickeln möchten. Gefördert werden Formate deutscher Filmfestivals, die zu Austausch, Begegnung und Diskurs zwischen deutschem und internationalem Publikum, zwischen Filmemacher:innen, Filmkritiker:innen, dem filmkünstlerischen Nachwuchs sowie den in den unterschiedlichen Bereichen des Mediums Film tätigen Institutionen beitragen. Fragestunden zur Förderung finden am 4. Mai und 10. Mai, jeweils von 17:00 -18:00 Uhr, statt. Bewerbungsschluss: 16 Mai. Mehr Informationen sind hier zu finden.
