Open Call Fleetstreet Residency

The Fleetstreet Residency Program is designed to support young groups to put up productions with reasonable means which is suitable for smaller theatres. The program offers space and time for research, experiments and productions. Interested groups of artists are welcome to apply for the residency.

Since 1 January 2011 the Fleetstreet Theater Hamburg sets up together with the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, the Hamburgische Kulturstiftung and the Rudolf Augstein Stiftung a Residency Program for groups of artists working across all genres by means of performative arts, visual arts, film and/or music.

The artist groups have the possibility to work for a period of one month to three months at the Fleetstreet Theatre in Hamburg. If the group doesn´t live in Hamburg, a studio apartment (3 rooms, kitchen, bathroom) is provided and a cash grant for the group in the total amount of € 1000,00 per month will be paid. For all groups the Hamburger Kulturstiftung and the Rudolf Augstein Stiftung will grant the amount of € 1000,00 per month each. This funding doesn't have to be applied additionally.

The application should include a detailed budget for the projects (if technical support is needed, it is possible to ask the technician of Fleetstreet Theatre), a description of the project proposals as possible with meaningful visualization in form of sketches, photos, maps as well as a documentation of completed projects (e.g. links to vimeo or the like).

The deadline for applications is 30 September. Residences will be awarded for the period from March 2022 to February 2023. More information can be found here.
