Call international dance exchange

CROWD – international dance exchange - has launched a 2023 dance residency programme. Dance artists from across Denmark, England, Finland, Iceland, Ireland, the Netherlands, the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) in Germany, and Scotland are welcome to apply.

The programme aims to support dance artists with an established practice in community engaged dance making to build their professional network, exchange experience with others in the field and develop their practice while generating new knowledge in the area of community engagement in dance.

Ten selected dance artists will exchange and collaborate with the support of the network partner organisations within two two-week residencies, one hosted in their home country and one hosted abroad. Between June and October the entire network will engage in digital, discursive sessions around community engagement in dance, opening conversations between hosts and artists and preparing the ground for the residency research.

The organisers encourage applications from under-represented backgrounds. There will be bursaries and support in place to accommodate applicants with additional access needs or caring responsibilities. The working language across the programme will be English so a reasonable knowledge is required. Applications can be submitted untl 20 March. Find more information here.
