NordArt is the largest exhibition of contemporary art in Europe that takes place annually in Büdelsdorf, Schleswig-Holstein (Germany). The organisers are looking for artists for its next edition in 2022.
Since 1999 the NordArt has established itself as one of the largest exhibitions of contemporary art in Europe which takes place annually in the summer months in North Germany. More than 200 international artists, selected by a jury, present a comprehensive panorama of contemporary art. The exhibition thrives on the different perspectives of individual cultures. In order to deepen the insights, the NordArt dedicates a separate pavilion to a different country each year and cooperates with embassies, cultural institutions and curators of the respective countries.
Artists from all over the world can apply for participation in NordArt 2022. The selection of artworks will take place by mid-February 2022 by a jury that is composed of curators, artists, an art historian and the supervisory board. All invited artists will be notified and asked for their confirmation of participation and documents for the catalog. Delivery of selected artworks is scheduled for the end of April. A list of selected artists and special projects will be published on our website by the beginning of March 2022. NordArt 2022 will take place between 4 June and 9 October 2022.
Applications can be submitted until 31 October 2021. More information about the Open Call can be found here.
