Scandinavia’s biggest biennial for international contemporary art, “OPENART”, is looking for new artwork to be placed outdoors in the city centre of Örebro, Sweden, for three months.
Every second summer professional artists from all over the world can present their artworks as part of the exhibition. They should primarily apply with artworks that can be placed outdoors which is why the majority of the artworks are sculptures and installations. Each year the festival presents several artists working in a wide variety of art mediums and techniques. Artists working in all disciplines are welcome to apply to become part of the festival.
The applicants should have the knowledge to manage their chosen materials and production themselves always keeping sustainability in mind. They are also expected to lead the technical work of installing the artwork in a secure and responsible way.
